Stephanie and Jake's story began when they met in December 2017 at their mutual friends ugly Christmas sweater party (fun fact: these mutual friends Jessy & Junior are the MC's at their wedding). Jake, already a couple years into dental school in Australia was headed back overseas in the new year to continue his studies.

After many hours on Facetime, Stephanie couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit Australia (and Jake haha) and planned a 3 week vacation in March 2018. It only took this short amount of time for them both to realize maybe this was meant to be.

In August 2018, Stephanie packed her life into two suitcases and moved to the land down under. They lived there together for the next 2 years; during which many family members visited, they explored Australia together, and got their German Shepherd puppy Ace.

Jake graduated in November 2020, and the two of them with Ace made the move back to Calgary. They settled into life; while starting their careers, building a house, and enjoyed being closer to family and lifelong friends again.

In May 2023, they took a dream vacation to Italy where Jake pulled off a proposal on a gondola in the canals of Venice! This kicked off the next chapter to their story and they can't wait to celebrate the big day with everyone they love.
